Ivy burst into the classroom, all hyper and excited. She had banged on the headmaster's door and fairly rambled at him until he agreed to let her cover the latest Tranfig lesson while their teacher had disappeared to parts unknown. The headmaster nodded at her, barely opening his bloodshot eyes before shutting the door and double locking it.

"Okay, peeps, here's what we're gonna do! Take this book...and turn it into an even bigger book!" she held up her transfiguration book for all to see.

"I don't mean just size, either!!! You guys have to make more pages...and make it something else...not paper...like...turn the pages into cloth, or aluminum foil...or something..." she ended lamely, and retook her seat.

She, of course was exempt from the lesson since she was teaching it. Wink

Shay stuffed half a chocolate frog into his mouth while glaring at his overexcited friend. Why didn't she tell him she would be teaching the day's lesson, he could have helped. He certainly could have come up with a more exciting task than freaking book pages. Female favoritism, that's what it was...plain and simple. Boiled gecko was starting to sound really really good to him right about then. And to think, he was actually considering going to the yule ball with her. Not as a date of course, he would rather ask a hag if that were the case, but as a friend.

Stupid girl.

It didn't take him long to come up with an idea for the book. He slept late and missed breakfast, so naturally he was starving. It took him a good half hour to finish, but in the end..his gigantic cheese book was perfect.

"Hey, Ivy! My pages are made out of cheese. Bet you can't think of something cooler than that!" he called out, with a chunk of cheese in his mouth (forgetting that the cheese book was actually his textbook).

damn....Ivy couldn't eat breakfast that morning, she was so excited and uptight about the lesson....it looked sooo goood....

Swallowing hard, she diverted her attention from his book and tried to look him in the eye. "Good...really good...glad to see you are so attentive to detail..." rich, creamy detail...

"Let me just make sure its really cheese...and not dehydrated yogurt or something!" she pulled on a page and peeled it out, slowly, lovingly. hmmmm....cheesy goodness...

Her eyes shut for a moment, then she stared at the rest of the book while she chewed thoughtfully. Should she ask him to leave it behind? So she could be one hundred percent accurate in grading, of course....

Mallory's jaw dropped in shock, where the hell was their professor, and how come Ivy got to cover the class? Why didn't Mallory get to cover classes? This wasn't fair. And look at this bizarre lesson!

Mallory sighed and concentrated on her book. After a while, the last few blank pages were potato skins, extra crispy, and the book was much larger in size. She angrily ripped out one of the pages and began to munch on it, pouting.

Sachiko walked into class, her head bowed. Her shoulders were slumped as the weight of failure pressed them inward. Her head snapped up when she saw their luscuous professor was absent. Sachiko was certain he was definitely a key to her finding her dark master. After all, the professor was quiet, solemn, softspoken, tall and dark. Which alsoi meant he was gay. And weren't most lackeys of master vampires gay?

She slumped into her seat, careful not to wrinkle her uniform dyed to a black, and artfully ripped in the elbows. She stared at the strangely cheerful Gryffindor girl who was most likely under the influence of the muggle drug Cracker, before turning the last few pages of her book into froot rollups. Strawberry flavored with a pokemon design.
